Staff Profiles Keith Cretchley (61)
Keith founded the Sport School in 1992 and has been the inspiration behind the development and success of the Sport School over the years. His sporting achievements from his youth to today include having played representative sport at different levels in cricket, tennis, squash, golf, athletics, rugby and competition surfcasting. He is an avid angler in his spare time. His enthusiasm and love of dealing with the children are among his strongest attributes. He is dedicated to playing sport with sound old-fashioned values with the emphasis on good sportsmanship and fair play. Keith has been intimately involved in sport since his young days and has been involved in sports administration at Club, Provincial and National level in a number of sports. This experience provides the Sport School with invaluable insight and skills.
Qualifications: Level 2 Cricket Coach, Level 1 Squash Coach
Robyn Paton (35)
Robyn has been the events organiser and sports administrator at the Sport School for the past 6 years. She qualified in Marine Biology, with a Masters Degree from Rhodes University. Her sporting interests are in Swimming and life-saving and she rowed for Rhodes University. Her out-going personality complements her organizational skills. She also handles the secretarial and bookkeeping functions competently.
Jonathan Abrahams (27)
Jonathan’s forte is squash where he represented South Western Districts at high school level. He is an avid and talented cricketer, a useful tennis player and is about to embark on a hockey-coaching course. He has a natural aptitude for working with children, is a competent coach and responsible driver, and a great asset to the Sport School.
Qualifications: Level 1 Squash Coach, Level 1 Cricket Coach
Ntabayozuko Nobebe (27)
Ntaba’s forte is cricket, but he also played soccer and rugby at u15 level for a combined PE schools team. His cricket career is impressive in that he represented the EP at u13, u17 and u18 level prior to going on to the EP Cricket Academy at which time he represented the EP Senior B XI. Since coming to Knysna he has gained selection to the SWD XI and comes to us as a very popular young coach with the added advantage of having a Xhosa speaking member on our staff.Qualifications: Level 2 Cricket Coach
Gleneord Keiser (24)
Gleneord is a true all round sportsman, specialising in tennis in which he attained South Western Districts colours as a schoolboy along with squash and cricket and table tennis. He also played rugby at high school and is clearly developing into a multi-talented and popular coach.
Qualifications: Level 1 Squash Coach, Level 1 Cricket Coach, Level 1 Tennis Coach
Wiseman Bolitye (55) Is our Groundsman with 6 years service. While he is an avid soccer fan, his expertise lies in maintaining our grounds and he has become experienced in the art of preparing and maintaining our cricket pitches.
